The Company's female dancers use about 10,000 pairs of pointe shoes each season, and an Étoile dancer may find herself using as a many as three pairs in a single performance. Male dancers wear demi-pointe shoes and custom-made soft boots for most classical and neo-classical ballets.
These shoes are emblems of the French school of ballet, and they make it possible for the dancers to practice their art in optimal conditions.
The campaign has already financed more than 4,400 pairs of pointe shoes. Wish your contribution, you are supporting a dancer's daily practice, within one of the most prestigious dance companies in the world!
